Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced AOI Operator for the 2nd shift to join their client's dynamic team in Brea, California. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity where the successful candidate will perform critical inspections of printed circuit board assemblies, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for setup and operation of 2D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) machines.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of printed circuit board assemblies to ensure workmanship that complies with the appropriate requirements from engineering drawings, process specifications, industry standards (IPC-610, J-STD-001), and customer-specific criteria.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as smart tweezers and calipers and pin gauges to determine adherence to electrical and dimensional specifications on first articles, in-process inspections, and production runs.
- Operate equipment in a fast-paced electro-mechanical production environment.
- Communicate defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity.
- Communicate to assembly operators any defects noted during the AOI operations so that corrections can be quickly implemented.
- Perform and record results of first article inspections and in-process inspections of assemblies and input data into the associated database.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics assembly manufacturing or similar industry.
- Experience operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine and the ability to interpret Engineering Documentation and work instructions.
- 3 years of Electronic Manufacturing.
- Comprehension of IPC-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Must understand how electronic components are oriented and be able to distinguish the different part numbers.
- 1 year of experience in a regulated industry such as ISO9001, AS9100, or ISO13485.
Required Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM (2nd Shift)
Benefits
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $20.50 to $25.50.
